Thursdays: Kensington, St. Luke’s Church, Redcliffe Gardens

The Calthorpe Project, Grey’s Inn Road.

The Calthorp Project provides a fabulous urban oasis for Londoners while working closely with a variety of families in and around Kings Cross.  They teach children how to grow and cook food; offer holiday learning schemes; Saturday crèche plus family days with football and other activities for all ages … check out their site for their weekly rota of toddle activities. I will be heading over to check it out and write some more as they are in desperate need of support.


Hyde Park, NCT Westminster,Marylebone and Maida Vale Big Picnic.  6th July 10:30 – 1pm.  Meet up in Hyde Park, bring a dish to pass and a toy or two to share.  Babies and older siblings most welcome.  Email Pimlico Mums for more info (or shoot me a quick email and I can shoot the email address right back to you)

Gefffrey House Big Dance 7th July


Geffrye Musuem Big Dance summer party.  Saturday 7th July 10:30- 4:00pm

Come join the big summer party: take part in a 1930’s dance around a replica train station, or make an art-nouveau mask, batik a t-shirt or listen to storytelling with the kids.  Great day out.

 V & A, Owl and the Pussycat, Little Lights Theatre.  Saturday 7th July, 11am, 1pm & 3pm.  Come and bring your children to watch a magical puppet show.  Free, ages 3+

 London Literature Festival, Andy Stanton, Southbank, Purcell Room.  Saturday 7th July, 11am.  Author of the fabulous Mr. Gum series, Andy Stanton will entertain with hilarious stories about his books, life and about writing.  £8 for adults, £4 for children. 

Wimbledon Finals in Duke of York Square: 6th-8th July.  Come and sit in the grass and watch the finals on a 14ft screen.  You can even book a blanket and leave yours at home.  There will festive strawberries and cream on offer, as well as champagne. 

 Chelsea Theatre, Sorted Saturdays.  Saturdays, 3-5pm, £5 per child, adults free.  Bring all the kids, under 11’s: puppets, performance, play and imagination theatre fun.  12-16s: theatre games and workshops for writers, actors, presenters, stand-up comics.  Parents can take advantage of the coffee bar and free Wi-Fi. 

 Saatchi Gallery: Family Art Workshops, Sunday 1st July, 11:00am and 3:00pm.  Come join artist Valeria Amadei in the Saatchi Gallery for a gallery walk and then make a self-portrait.  £5 per child, book ahead: contact Valeria familyartworkshops@gmail.com or 07794727062
