Monkey Music: Nurture your Kid’s Love of Music, Meet Local Mums

Sep 9, 2012 by

Professional violinist Jayne Harris has cultivated her Award winning Monkey Music preschool music classes into the ‘must-do’ activity in the weekly diary for hundreds of local families for over ten years.  Her team’s tireless energy, attention to detail and inspirational approach to teaching make Jayne’s Monkey Music Classes the “gold standard” for early year’s music education and entertainment in Central London.

Whether it’s Jessi, Yvette or Jayne, the classes ooze with clever innovation.  They are taught in very pleasant venues, with meticulously clean, professional instruments and props.  The music and pedagogical approach are exceptional: Jayne strives to make sure that the entire experience is pleasant for adults and child alike, incorporating original and traditional songs with specialist percussion instruments for infants and toddlers.  Monkey Music classes bring singing and movement together in a weekly curriculum enhanced with elaborate props, many of them hand-crafted by Jayne, creating a fun, classy, unique educational experience for all.

Rock ‘n’ Roll classes are for Babies from 3 months; the Heigh-Ho classes for Toddlers from 12 months; Jiggety-Jig for the 2 and 3 year olds; and Ding-Dong for 3 and 4 year olds making a little music school for your little ones to progress through.  What’s more, Jayne’s classes serve as a wonderful catalyst for making connections with other mums in the area.  Jayne hosts a half-termly “Daddy Saturday” where all the local, eager the dads turn out to see what their children are taking part in each week.  The high-point of many London mums weeks is meeting up with their new-found mates at St. Michael’s Belgravia, St. Stephen’s Gloucester Road, The Coopers Arms Pub in Chelsea, Holy Apostles Pimlico or Cineworld on Fulham Road in Chelsea for music and coffee after.

Take your Monkey Music sticker to Paul’s (specific stores only) and get a free bebeccino when you buy your coffee.
