Turn it up Boot Camp, drop-in fitness training in Hyde Park and Holland Park
Professional athlete, Olympic competitor, personal trainer, motivator, and just all around great mate Linda Hedenstrom’s Scandinavian Fitness offers London mums a unique and proven road to fitness.
I started chatting with Linda about her group fitness boot camp, Turn it up Boot Camp, that she runs in Holland Park 11am Saturday mornings and Hyde Park 7pm Wednesday evenings. These are an excellent, casual way to try out a group fitness class while meeting other mums and getting a quality workout. Linda combines body weight exercise, high intensity intervals, outdoor circuits training and most importantly music to create a motivating, fantastic high-energy group workout. These brilliant sessions help improve fitness levels, are drop-in and only cost £8 … will be joining Wednesday night as soon as my husband gets home from work on time.
I then learned more about Linda’s other group, Scandinavian Fitness. They do not just focus on physical training but equally the components of a Swedish diet and Scandinavian attitude towards being active outdoors to help their clients change their views to a 360 degree approach to fitness.
We chatted about the difficulties mums of young children suffer from, with changed sleeping, eating and general activity patterns, it can be incredibly difficult for mums to keep their own health in check.
Linda has an intensive, but achievable, three-month training package that can help mums adapt to their new situations. They can increase their energy levels, improve their fitness levels and refine their food choosing skills and expand their recipe repertoire and be in a better physical and mental state to cope with the demands of motherhood.
In addition to boot camps and new mums fitness, Linda offers other personal training packages. She can focus on small group training, circuits training for weight loss, children’s fitness training, sport-specific, post-baby or other lifestyle changes or take bits and pieces and put them together to make a fitness package for your family or group.
