Half-term Workshops in London:
Love Swimming Fast Track Lessons and Coaching: Dolphin Square, Pimlico (just around the corner from Pimlico tube) Want to give your kids some strong technical coaching to augment their regular swim regime? Have you been thinking swim lessons are too big of a weekly commitment? Get over to Dolphin Square’s gorgeous and luxuriously warm pool, with complimentary towel service and get your kids into Fast Track lessons, an hour or half-hour 1:1 or 2:1 lesson for a very reasonable price. Bila, Rui, Anna and Musa are results-driven instructors; you will see an improvement by the end of the week.

Pippa’s Poppets Half-term Musical Theatre Workshop: The Jungle Book, Tuesday, 2nd – Friday 5th April at Cupcake Mum in Parsons Green. For ages 3-6, drop-off musical theatre workshop where children work with an award-winning composer to put on a production of Peter Pan. National Gallery: Art Workshop Drama Box. Work with painter Noelle Paine to explore mood, atmosphere and drama in paintings. Using light, colour and your imagination, create a 3-D set design to take home. Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th April, 11am-1pm repeated 2-4pm. Free, ages 5+, spaces allocated on arrival.
National Gallery Talk and Play. Monday 8th April, 10:30-noon. The Marquis de Seignaley and Two of Her Sons, Pierre Mignard – listen to the story behind this interesting family portrait and have a little bit of a play. Ages 2-5, free, spaces allocated on arrival
National Gallery Drawing Stories. Tuesday 9th April, 10:30-11:30. Tell a story through art making and play. Ages 2-5, free, spaces allocated on arrival.
Geffrye Museum Easter Holidays Come over to Hackney and enjoy a week of making and doing at the fabulous Geffrye Museum. Tuesday 9th – Friday 12th April, 10:30-12:30 and 2-4pm for loads of interesting activities and workshops. Free, spaces allocated on arrival, 5+ years but they let little ones join in and sometimes provide toys for very small children.
V and A: Easter Holidays: So many interesting events, bring the kids along to the Imagination Station Sat 30th March – Sun 14th April to make their own coat of arms inspired by the collection (free, drop in, all ages). Tudor Tunes, Monday 1st – Friday 5th April, 11am, 1pm and 3pm – listen to original Tudor music and look at the instruments. Make-it Armour – book into a workshop with designer Juliana Sissions and make your own armor. Monday 1st – Friday 5th April, 10:30-12:30 and 2:30-4:30 £7.50 per child, booking essential, ages 5-12
Chelsea Physic Garden: Workshops running Wednesday 3rd, Thursday 4th, Tuesday 9th, Wednesday 10th, Thursday 11th April. Some for ages 4+, 7+ and some for 8+. Check out the site for descriptions, times and booking information.
Holland Park Ecology Centre: Tuesday 2nd – Friday 12th April, sessions for ages 5-10 years old 10-noon and 2-4pm; 8-12 year olds from 11am-3pm. From £4.20 for residents, £5.20 non-residents. Come and enjoy a fabulous workshop and holiday activity in the ground of Holland Park. These sessions are highly enjoyable and allow children to explore a range of wilderness topics.
British Museum: Monday 8th – Friday 12th April, Great Court. Come and learn about cave paintings and pre-historic sculpture then have a go at making some art yourself. Free, all ages from 11am – 4pm daily.
Camden Arts Centre: Easter Sunday Family Day. Sunday 31st March, 2-4:30pm. Learn about flora fossils in London clay working with ceramicist Phoebe Cummings to create flora impressions in clay. Free, drop-in
Horniman Easter Fair: Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st March 10:30-4pm a day of wholesome family fun. Easter egg hunts, dancing workshops, music, food stalls, craft stalls, live demonstrations of bunny handling … free entry but many of the activities will charge a fee
Wallace Collection, Little Draw. Drop in from 1:30-4:30 and learn how to draw the grotesque beasts from the natural world depicted in the Wallace Collection. Free, all ages.Tweet
