Monkey Music Chelsea: More Classes Opening on Fulham Road

Jun 5, 2013 by

Monkey Music Chelsea is currently completely full; they are choc-a-block and have to expand to make room for all the new friends who would like to join in Chelsea’s favourite music class for little ones.

Starting Friday, 21st June, Professional violinist, and award-winning music teacher, Jayne Harris, will open up more classes in their most sumptuous venue, Cineworld, on Fulham Road.  These exceptional classes are “the thing” to do with your infant in Chelsea; they have been awarded a well-deserved Netmums Gold Winner.  Book early and ensure that you and your child do not miss out on this yummy baby and mum activity.  Do come and try out a class before booking your space for the Autumn term.

Monkey Music is the favourite early year’s activity in Chelsea and Westminster.  Jayne and her staff tirelessly work to keep the ever rotating series of fabulous instruments and props meticulously clean.  Not only is there hand sanitizer bottles placed around the class, baby instruments are often cleaned before being distributed, and all of them again, thereafter.  Jayne and her teachers have stringent health and safety standards for sanitation, ensuring that the toys are kept clean to the highest standard.

Hundreds of families in Chelsea and Westminster come to Jayne and her team, week in and week out for the energy, the entertainment and the innovation.  Monkey Music classes bring singing and movement together in a weekly curriculum enhanced with elaborate props, many of them hand-crafted by Jayne, creating a fun, classy, unique educational experience for all.  The music and pedagogical approach are exceptional: Jayne strives to make sure that the entire experience is pleasant for adults and child alike.  The teachers are all professional musicians who incorporate original and traditional songs with specialist percussion instruments for infants and toddlers.

Cineworld is located down Fulham Road, near Beaufort Street and Jayne has found the most amazing venue.  When you enter Cineworld, you leave your pushchairs parked in the foyer where a staff member will watch over them the entire time.  Monkey Music is on the first floor; the gorgeous room is in the massive front turret of the building.  There are mirrors reflecting the light from the soaring floor to ceiling windows over-looking Fulham Road.  Babies and toddlers just love the colours and lights around the room, and mums can happily let them explore as it’s a toddler and baby friendly space, carpeted and clean.  The room is nicely contained, the little ones don’t claw for the door when they get need to change their focus a bit.

Rock ‘n’ Roll classes are for Babies from 3 months; the Heigh-Ho classes for Toddlers from 12 months; Jiggety-Jig for the 2 and 3 year olds; and Ding-Dong for 3 and 4 year olds making a little music school for your little ones to progress through.  What’s more, Jayne’s classes serve as a wonderful catalyst for making connections with other mums in the area.  Jayne hosts a half-termly “Daddy Saturday” where all the local, eager the dads turn out to see what their children are taking part in each week.  The high-point of many London mums weeks is meeting up with their new-found mates at St. Michael’s Belgravia, St. Stephen’s Gloucester Road, The National Army Museum in Chelsea or Cineworld on Fulham Road in Chelsea for music and coffee after.
