Somerset House, Free Family Workshop: for ages 6-12, free family workshop making your own 3D couture collage in black and white. Noon – 3pm, free
Half Moon Theatre, Big Red Bath: Running all week, 1st – 8th of February for children ages 2-5. Come and enjoy all the fun of a rhyming, whimsical, magical bath. Tickets are £6 each. Saturday 11am and 2pm, Monday – Friday 10am.
Wigmore Hall Family Concert: Cavatina Family Concert. Bring children 7+ to Wigmore Hall for Peter and the Wolf performed by the Camarilla Ensemble. £7 adults, £5 children
Lauderdale House, Saturday Theatre, Ian Saville’s Magic Show: Performances at 10am and 11:30am, a brilliant magic show for children and adults. Children under 2 free, adults and children £4.50
Gobaby App has a new Holiday Season of this fabulous app for tackling the London with a pushchair. Gobaby lists every Undergournd, Overground and DLR station with four easy to read icons indicating whether any station is step-free; has 10+ steps; requires escalators; or has lifts along with live service updates. If that is not enough, the app includes over 1,000 changing rooms in various family dining establishments, libraries and shops. The holiday version also lists over 200 Boots pharmacies across London for the cold season. Go on, best £1.49 you will spend.
Gate Picturehouse, Kids Club: This week’s programme: Jumanji. Tickets £1 with £4 membership, popcorn and juice £2. (best £3 you will ever spend on a rainy Saturday)
Barbican Family Film Club: This week’s feature: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Tickets are £2, bring the kids and escape the cold while you chill and watch a movie. Great price. 11am, all ages.
Electric Cinema, Kid’s Club: This week’s feature, Walking with Dinosaurs; 10:30am. Check out the newly refurbished Electric Cinema in Notting Hill with its plush, red velvet beds, sofas and armchairs. Looks like a great way for Dad to occupy the kids on a Saturday morning. Family Events Sunday 2nd February
Chinese New Year, Chinatown: Start on Shaftesbury Avenue at 10am and wander around Chinatown following the parade. Head over to Trafalgar Square at noon to watch a day of New Year festivities. Free, all ages
Wallace Collection, The Little Draw: stop in on Sunday 1:30, 4pm and take part in an artist led activity based on the collection. A great end to a morning in Marylebone; don’t forget the Sunday farmer’s market and the Paddington Street playground.
Camden Arts Centre, Make and Do. Come join artist Judith Brocklehurst to take a look at the current exhibit and have a go at making your own art. 2-4:30pm, free, drop-in, all ages.
Royal College of Music, Igniting Opera in a Day: Ages 6-12, have a mini opera workshop and then head over to the Royal Albert Hall for a matinee performance of La Boheme at the Royal Albert Hall. Tickets £20, and include 1 adult and 1 child ticket to the performance.

New mummies are very welcome to join us for our French classes for babies and toddlers. Started by a local Pimlico mummy, these classes are a must for any bi-lingual families and aspiring linguists alike.
