Monkey Music Chelsea: Summer is approaching, join in the celebrations for Monkey Music’s 21st Birthday!
Come along and enjoy a complimentary Monkey Music class with your baby or toddler (classes start from 3 months to 4 years old) at any of their classes and venues.
Monkey Music Chelsea is hosting an extra one-off class just for Babies (from 3 months) on Wednesday 26th March to showcase the importance of introducing music to very young babies with their specialist Rock’n’Roll baby curriculum. It’s a great chance to meet other mums and babies in your neighbourhood, enjoy the music and the fun, and try out Monkey Music classes before they fill up for the summer term.
The Summer term is going to be extra special. Monkey Music is celebrating it’s 21st birthday in June with a wonderful party week at class with lots of competitions and celebrations! Warmer weather is on it’s way and the beautifully themed classes take everyone on a summer journey to the seaside with amazing props and activities in class. Classes are filling up fast already, so don’t miss out on your chance to join all the fun.
If you are unfamiliar with Monkey Music, professional violinist, and Netmums Gold Winner Jayne Harris’s Monkey Music Chelsea is the favourite early year’s pre-school music class in Chelsea, Belgravia and Gloucester Road.
For the last 12 years, week in and week out, hundreds of families in Chelsea and Westminster have been coming to Jayne and her team for the innovative, age specific music classes which are unique, progressive, and above all super fun for adults and little ones alike. Jayne and her team have become the ‘must do’ local music activity, with lots of families attending for 6, 8, even 10 years, the entire duration of each of their children’s early year’s development!
Monkey Music classes bring singing, movement and specialist early years’ percussion instruments together in a weekly curriculum enhanced with elaborate props, many of them hand-crafted by Jayne, creating a fun, classy, unique educational experience for all. The music and pedagogical approach are exceptional: Jayne strives to make sure that the entire experience is so much fun that the little ones don’t notice how much they are learning!
Jayne and her small team of talented teachers are all professional performers who are specifically and extensively trained by Jayne. In addition to the classes themselves they work tirelessly to keep the ever rotating series of fabulous props and instruments meticulously clean. Not only are there hand sanitizer bottles handed around the class, the instruments are kept separate and always cleaned for each Rock’n’Roll class (babies form 3 months) before being distributed, and all of them again, thereafter. Jayne and her teachers have stringent health and safety standards for sanitation, ensuring that everything is kept clean to the highest standard.
Monkey Music is not just for babies. Rock ‘n’ Roll classes are for Babies from 3 months; the Heigh-Ho classes for Toddlers from 12 months; Jiggety-Jig for the 2 and 3 year olds; and Ding-Dong for 3 and 4 year olds making a little music school for your little ones to progress through. What’s more, Jayne’s classes serve as a wonderful catalyst for making connections with other mums in the area. Jayne hosts a half-termly “Daddy Saturday” where all the local, eager the dads turn out to see what their children are taking part in each week. The high-point of many London mums weeks is meeting up with their new-found mates at St. Michael’s Belgravia, St. Stephen’s Gloucester Road, The Cooper’s Arms in Chelsea or Cineworld on Fulham Road in Chelsea for music and coffee after.
