New Parent and Baby Aquafit Class in Marble Arch with Aquababies
Aquababies, London’s long-established and best-loved programme for teaching babies to swim, is now offering a new mum and baby fitness class for London mums at their Marble Arch Location. The venue is easy to get to and fabulously gorgeous.
The class, coined PABA for Parent and Baby Aquafit, is a low-impact, fat-burning, moderately paced workout that is perfect for post-partum bodies. What is especially brilliant about this class, baby comes, too and helps you work out. No worries about separation anxiety and paying the sitter, baby hops in the pool right with you.
Children from three months up to 3 years are welcome in the class. The added benefit of having baby with you in the pool is that you are helping them learn to enjoy the water. The best way to help babies learn to love the water is to jump in, swim and play with them right from the start. There are few activities children enjoy as much as playing in the water. The whole class is a wonderful, multi-sensory discovery that will hopefully lead them on the path to life-long fitness; not just a workout for mum.
In addition to you getting a splash in the pool, spending quality time with your child, while helping them gain confidence in the water, you get to meet local mums with kids the same age. Everyone works together in the class to get back in shape and swap stories from the trenches of motherhood. You might also learn a bit more about other baby-friendly scores near-by.
The sumptuous pool is located in the Marble Arch Marriott, just off George Street – a short walk from Paddington, Mayfair and Marylebone and a short bus ride Knightsbridge, Victoria, Pimlico and Notting Hill. The pool is lovely and warm, perfect for coaxing new swimmers into a love of water. Towels, shampoo and soap are all provided, so you do not have to lug wet towels home after your workout. The even has a family changing room; so you don’t have to lie your baby down on the floor to get ready dressed after your swim.
Aquababies founder Julie-Ann James created the PABA classes to help mums and babies enjoy the benefits of water sport. She was herself a competitive swimmer before starting her 20 years teaching and consulting career. Aquababies proven swimming programme is now flourishing around the world with classes in China, Poland, Spain, Australia and Ireland.Tweet
