What’s On: London Baby and Family Events this Week
Royal College of Music, Sparks Family Discovery, Romeo and Juliet: Saturday 14th-Sunday 15th Through dance, music and movement workshops, explore the plot of this timeless tragedy. The day finishes at the Royal Albert Hall to watch the English National Ballet’s production. £40 for 1 adult and 1 child, £15 for additional tickets. This includes the workshop and performance.
Mayhew Animal Home’s Hyde Bark – Sunday 15th 10-5pm. Bring the dog and the kids to enjoy dog shows, pooch portraits, face painting, a sponsored walk around the Serpentine plus lots more at this fun-filled fundraiser in Hyde Park.
Foundling Museum, Bloomsbury: Saturday 14th – Sunday 15th, 10-5pm. Bring the kids and celebrate ten years of the Foundling Museum dressed as a Coram Child and take part in arts and crafts, gingerbread decorating, street games, folk music, cakes and more. Free, all ages
Marylebone Street Fair – Sunday 15th, 11am-8pm in and around Paddington Gardens. Enjoy the predicted 20 degree weather in Marylebone with the Vauxhall City Farm petting zoo, climbing tower, shoot for goal, bike racing, inflatable slide, hedge maze, face painting and the incredible food stalls augmenting all the gorgeous foodie shops.
Royal Academy Green Parks – Sunday 15th June, 11-2pm. Join Michael Holland, Head of Education at Chelsea Physic Gardens who will be leading a free gardening workshop for children. Take home your own potted seedling.
Highgate Fair in the Square, Pond Square, Highgate Village – Saturday 14th June 12:30-5:30. Bring the kids to enjoy hoirs, bands, dancing, music; roundabout, train rides, Punch and Judy – see Sheep Shearing demonstration all while grazing at the food stalls.
NCT Kensington and Chelsea Dad’s Sports Day in Holland Park – Saturday 14th 3-5pm. Tennis taster sessions, games, gymnastics, dance and yoga. £5 for 2 kids and 2 adults,
London Symphony Orchestra Discovery Concert, Barbican – Sunday 15th June. Trains, Planes and Automobiles, £5 children and £10 adults, crèche for children under 7.
Family Barn Dance, Cecil Sharpe House – Sunday 3-5pm. Join the English Dance and Folk Society for its monthly family barn dance. £6 adults, £4 kids, under 2s free.
Foyles – Sunday 15th June, head over to celebrate opening of their flagship store on Charing Cross Road with a series of pricey, but fabulous looking book making workshops.

Curzon Cinema, Victoria: This week’s Kids Club programme: The Muppets. Saturday and Sunday, 10:45. £3.50 per person.
Gate Picturehouse, Kids Club: This week’s programme: Khumba. Tickets £1 with £4 membership, popcorn and juice £2. (best £3 you will ever spend on a rainy Saturday)
Barbican Family Film Club: This week’s feature: Believe. Tickets are £2, bring the kids and escape the cold while you chill and watch a movie. Great price. 11am, all ages.
Electric Cinema, Kid’s Club: This week’s feature, Patema Inverted, 9:30am. Check out the Electric Cinema in Notting Hill with its plush, red velvet beds, sofas and armchairs. Looks like a great way for Dad to occupy the kids on a Saturday morning. Tickets £8 per person. All ages
