What’s On: London Baby, Toddler and Family Events This Week

Lambeth Palace Gardens, Lambeth Parish Fete: Saturday 12:30-5:30 Come and enjoy the gardens of Lambeth Palace complete with food stalls, live music, games and more.
Paternoster Square, City of London Festival – head over to St. Paul’s and check out the massive Bowler Hat! Various children’s events take place in here, including Little Angel Theatre’s Dog’s Don’t Do Ballet for £6, check the schedule for details.
King’s Cross, Granary Square, Strawberries and Screen: head over to the gorgeous Granary Square and relax with food and drinks watching Wimbledon on the big screen.
Royal Opera House, Family Sunday – if you have had your fill of fun and festivals, head over to Covent Garden and spend the afternoon listening to arias, trying on real ROH costumes, applying stage makeup and making miniature pop up theatres and puppets. Sunday noon – 4pm, all ages, tickets £3-£5.
Pumphouse Gallery, Sunday Socials: take the kids to join artist Yemi Awosile at the Pumphouse Gallery on Sunday from noon – 4pm for a hands-on, interactive art activity. Take the kids over the adventure playground after, have a drink at the Gondola Cafe
Kensington Palace, Glorious George’s Family Festival: head over to Kensington Palace Saturday and Sunday for a day of games, dressing up and trails around the palace. Kids go free, adults £15.40
Chelsea’s award-winning mum and baby activity, Monkey Music, is celebrating their 21st birthday. Jayne Harris, Chelsea mum’s favourite concert violinist whose charisma and charm has made her classes a local must have activity will be hosting very special baby taster sessions at Chelsea’s Mermaid Retreat (Chelsea’s gorgeous mum, dad and baby retreat for post-partum overnight stays right on up to toddlers) on The King’s Road on Wednesday 2 July. Barbican Family Film Club: This week’s feature: A Bundle of Shorts. Tickets are £2, bring the kids and escape the cold while you chill and watch a movie. Great price. 11am, all ages.
Electric Cinema, Kid’s Club: This week’s feature, Postman Pat, 9:30am. Check out the Electric Cinema in Notting Hill with its plush, red velvet beds, sofas and armchairs. Looks like a great way for Dad to occupy the kids on a Saturday morning. Tickets £8 per person. All ages
