October Half-Term – Learn to Swim with a Love Swimming Swim Holiday
We have only just returned from our summer holiday and its already time to think about October. As there is no way we are going to be leaving London this break, I am opting for a Swim Holiday with Love Swimming. And what exactly is a swim holiday? You and the kids head over to Pimlico each day at a set time and enjoy Dolphin Square’s luxurious, warm, slate-lined pool (complete with complimentary towel service and Aromatherapy toiletries) while the kids improve their swimming skills with Love Swimming.
Love Swimming is London’s premier swimming school for swimmers (and non-swimmers) of all ages. It’s small, intimate, fun, results-driven and did I mention you get to swim in one of London’s most sumptuous pools. Each term over 400 London mum sign their kids to swim in 1:1 or 1:2 lessons; this is a different level of teaching than the traditional group swimming lessons. Very young children learn to swim while the older kids improve their stoke and technique and work on taking time off for competitions. Love Swimming also hosts loads of baby classes, so you and your infant can get comfortable in the water and begin a life of swimming together.
The Love Swimming Fast Track Lessons are not inexpensive, but are worth their weight in gold. 1:1 week long lessons are £175, 1:2 are £130 and 1:3 are £100; they are held the week of October 19th- 23rd and October 26th – 30th. I cannot recommend them highly enough, we did this over May half term and both children had such measurable improvement we are heading in again. Hopefully we can get my youngest strong enough in the water that I can throw him in the pool and drink margaritas next holiday.
Love Swimming has a great background story, it was established by husband and wife team Bila and Rui Duarte. Bila represented Brazil in international competitions (and was once the 7th best swimmer in the world) while Rui was a Water Polo player and an international swimmer for Portugal. After retiring from competition, Bila and Rui decided to take their expertise and start a specialty swimming school in London to train children and adults with the highest quality instruction. Bila and Rui learned first-hand the limitations of group swimming lessons and dedicated themselves to establishing a swimming school with small lessons in order to help children, and adults, achieve the most for themselves. Love swimming has a very small team of competitive swimmers who are brilliant swim instructors. There is little staff turnover at Love Swimming; the coaches, Bila and Rui know your families and how to get you to the next level.Tweet
