Monkey Music has an award winning reputation in the Chelsea and Westminster area as the music class to attend with your little one.
Monkey Music classes are worth their weight in gold. Not only do you get to meet and mingle with local families, getting the scoop on local schools, family friendly restaurants, activities and making friends, but your child will be gaining a solid foundation in music education that is largely missing from many early years frameworks. Starting as young as 3 months children work their way through a progressive curriculum, by the time they are 4 years old they will be able to read music, identify all the instruments in the orchestra, and read and sing tonal hand signs.
The National Army Museum in Chelsea has undergone a £23 million refurbishment and is perfect for families with soaring ceilings, bright colour schemes, imaginative sculptures, interactive exhibits and is fully pushchair and family friendly.
What’s more, before or after your Monkey Music class, you can book a place for your little one in the brand new Playbase, a contained soft-play space for children 8 and under. The museum boasts a great cafe with quality children’s food (small sandwiches with the crusts cut off) and exceptionally kid-friendly exhibits. Word of caution, if you are in a hurry to leave the museum, do not take your kids to the tank!
Jayne Harris, professional violinist and owner of Monkey Music Chelsea and Westminster, has exclusively secured the museum’s plush education room on the ground floor to host Monkey Music classes so you and the little ones can make an entire afternoon of fun at the Museum in Chelsea.
