London Weekend Family Events for the Entire Family
Greenwich, Comida Fest: Saturday and Sunday. Take the kids for a fantastic day of Latin American street food, children’s activities, music, dancing, workshops and more. Free, all ages
Walthamstow Marshes, Community Haystack: Saturday from 10:30. My kids would love this - it is a day of scything and haystack making ending in a community picnic at 5pm with live music. It is £20 for the scything workshop, but all the other activities are free.
Big Fair Heath Street, Hampstead Summer Festival: Saturday noon-5pm. Take the kids up to Hampstead for a fantastic street fair complete with live music, donkey rides, entertainment, street stalls and good fun. Free, all ages.
Pimlico, Southwest Fest: Saturday from noon-6pm. Take the kids to a day of fun fair rides, live music, Vauxhall City Farm petting zoo, arts, crafts and information on services and community groups in SW1. Free entry, all ages

Making, doing, thinking, movement and performance this weekend
RADA, The Little Prince with Chris Riddell: Saturday 30th - Saturday 7th. Head to the RADA for a reading of The Little Prince Live-dawn by Chris Riddell. Tickets £10 adults, £5 children, check dates and times.
Serpentine Gallery, Family Weekend: Saturday and Sunday 1pm-5pm. Join artist Harold Offeh who will help you explore thinking about yourself as a sculpture, moving your body into different forms, responding to Barrels and The Mistake. Free, all ages.
Parasol Unit, The City: Sunday 2-4pm. Head to Islington, see the Carlos Garaicoa exhibit, and bring the kids to an art workshop with Dhiyandra Natalegawa and make an imaginary city using cardboard, bamboo canes other other materials. Over 5s, £2 per child, £3 per parent.
Royal Academy, Willow bee family sculpture workshop: Saturday 11am-3pm. Make a bee out of willow and add to the hive in this practical workshop where your family can learn how to keep bees safe. Younger children can make a pom pom bee.
David Zwirner Gallery, Kids Workshop, part of Mayfair Art Weekend: Sunday noon-2pm. Kids can explore the Carol Bove exhibition and then create designs inspired by the colourful works by drawing on ceramic tiles that parents can take home and seal in the oven. Free, ages 3+, booking required.
Hampstead, JW3: Sunday. Take the kids to JW3 for a fabulous variety of activities for kids of all ages. There is family music time in the morning, crafts in the afternoon, and Frech-speaking crafts after. Kids Yoga starts at 4pm. See website for times and details.

Kensington Palace, Tiny Explorers: Wednesday and Saturday. Take children under 4 to the palace to explore music, movement, messy play and more. Booking required, £8 per session.
Whitechapel Gallery, Crib Notes: Wednesday 4th July, 10am-noon Join artist Rachel Pimm for a materials tour of the summer exhibition. Free, children under 5, booking required
British Museum, Little Feet, Animal Homes: Saturday 11am-4pm. Find out where in the world animals call home and programme a robot to help find them. For under 5s, free, drop-in.
Royal Albert Hall, Storytelling and Music Sessions: bring children ages 0-4 to Royal Albert Hall on Tuesday for a magical experience with storytellers Paul Rubinstein, Becky Dixton and Samantha Sutherland where singing, storytelling and musical instruments are woven into one story session. £4, 11:30am
National Gallery, Welcome Wednesdays: Wednesdays 10:30-11:15. Bring children 16 months to 5 years to the National Gallery for Dance Adventures with Olivia Armstrong. Age 16 months – 5 years, tickets £5 per child.
Pimlico Toy Library: Bring the kids to the Toy Library for play sessions and toy lending. Fantastic resource for anyone in the area.
Electric Cinema, Electric Scream: Mondays 11am. This week’s feature: On Chesil Beach. Bring babies under 12 months to this amazingly plush cinema, relax with some coffee and catch a flick.
